Voltage rating for a 3kw sweet corn steamer?

How can i change/modify the power supply socket from 110v to 220v so that I can use a 220v, 3kw sweetcorn steamer?

Is there such thing to change the 110V to 220V?Voltage rating for a 3kw sweet corn steamer?
You will need a 3KVA step-up transformer, which will almost certainly cost you more than a new 110V sweetcorn steamer.

In some places, though, %26quot;110V%26quot; house supplies are actually biphase 110-0-110V with two live wires; each one being positive when the other is negative and vice versa. This allows for heavy-current appliances like cookers, immersion heaters, showers and night storage heaters. Check with your electricity supplier -- it may need nothing more than an extra cable to your fuse box.Voltage rating for a 3kw sweet corn steamer?
You need what is called a %26quot;step-up transformer%26quot; or converter

You can buy converters that change 110v to 220v.

Here's one.

The right one depends on which country you live in. You also need to find one that can work at 3kw - that's 3000va not this one -- so it's going to cost.
