You state the processor, but not the power supply and ask if you should change the power supply?

Well, power supply DOES matter, if it's only 380 watts and you buy a higher end card it might just kill it. Knowing pre-built computers, their power supplies are much cheaper quality and if it does work, it will probably be close to its max. Bad thing is, since it's cheap I don't know what will happen when it's at it's max.

Go open your case and check the wattage, 450+ should be enough.

As for installing a video card:

Open your case %26gt; Ground yourself and touch the case %26gt; Remove existing video card (if there is one, if there isn't, it's integrated, so don't worry if there's none.) %26gt; Plug in video card %26gt; Put case back together %26gt; Plug your monitor cable to the video card %26gt; Tun your computer on %26gt; Install the CD that came with it and download the drivers (Or look for newer ones)How to install a video card for a gateway pc with a pci express slot?
all you have to do is unscrew the screw that hold the videocard in place (should only be one)

Then yank it out. It might be hard at first, but don't worry about damaging it, just make sure u don't shock any of ur partsHow to install a video card for a gateway pc with a pci express slot?
Dont forget some high end cards need additional power supply plug and may not work without it? Any new system needs at least 450 watt power supply! Check all documentation that comes with the card.
