I have 2 Imacs.. Unfortunately it seems like the power supply in the better one has gone as it won't boot up. I want to take the power supply out of one and put it in the other but I can't work out how to get the power supply out... Can anyone help????Does anyone know how to change the power supply on a slot loading Imac?
Have you tried changing the PRAM battery? A dead battery will stop it from booting up.
Additional:
You need to take the back off, and then the internal shielding. It's a 1/2AA size, and plainly visible on the mainboard.Does anyone know how to change the power supply on a slot loading Imac?
What kind of iMac do you have? A CRT version, the 1/2 basketball version? Need more info.
