All you have to do is a buy a modern and reputable brand power supply (such as Enermax) and it should work just fine.Does it matter what kind of Motherboard you have if you change your power supply?
Most good modern PSUs are compatible with most motherboards. The only problem is if you have a prebuilt machine like a Dell, Compaq, Gateway, etc. Alot of those companies use proprietary power supplies and will NOT work with a regular name brand PSU.

If you have a prebuilt PC you should call the manufacturer and ask them before plugging in a PSU that could destroy your machine.
