My Celeron Processor crahed due to thermal overheating ,Should I be worried?

I adjusted the clock speed to a higher number in the BIOS?

Then The PC did not start ,then i changed the power supply it started

but when i was playing a A game(FIFA08) it crashed stating

%26quot;System crashed due to thermal overheat%26quot;

So should I just just change the clock speed and the Processor will be fine

or are there some unrecoverable damages to it that I should Purchase a new one

NOTE

I am about to install Kalyway LEopard Again in My PC(should I be worried?)

I am a non-hardcore gamer(Should I still change it?)

How bad are Celerons(mine is 3.33 ghtz)?

don't overclock a celeron, they are just budget CPU's, they aren't designed for overclockingMy Celeron Processor crahed due to thermal overheating ,Should I be worried?
get intel core 2 quad..the best!! My Celeron Processor crahed due to thermal overheating ,Should I be worried?

Celeron processors are not great, but it's not the quality that is poor, simply the specifications. If it's overheating while being overclocked, and it damaged your old PSU, then you should definitely turn it back to stock clock rates. It sounds like the heatsink/fan that's on there is not made to handle an overclock of the CPU.

It's not likely that you caused permanent damage to your processor, just turn it back down to its stock speeds and it should be fine.My Celeron Processor crahed due to thermal overheating ,Should I be worried?
you got 1 GB of RAM and a celeron and you OCed it? well since the computer shut itself down your probably fine but you need to set the BIOS back or its going to fry the CPU, and your not going to find drivers for your cracked mac OS without a lot of searching so good luck
