Computer won't boot up?

Recently my computer has been unable to turn on. So I changed the power supply and now the computer has power and starts to boot. But then I receive a message saying %26quot;reboot and select proper boot device

or insert boot media in selected boot device%26quot; what does this mean and does anyone have any ideas on how to fix it?Computer won%26039;t boot up?
A little random, but try just resetting the device either by CTRL+ALT+DELETE when you get that message, or the next step would be to check the computers boot priorities..

Some preconfigured computers come with a boot menu (e.g. pushing F2 or F12 at boot) You'll definitely be able to access it somewhere.. Hopefully your hard drive will be displayed in that boot list..

If it's not then check connections into your hard drive (if you have the ability to without voiding warranties etc.) or consult a technician or another forum on how to reset your Bios.. each machine is slightly different when it comes to that so it would be to general to recommend that now.

The final idea I have is the most unfortunate.. It may be that your hard drive has failed and that the computer can't see it.. If this is the case then you could try removing the hard drive and replacing it with a new.. installing Windows to that if you can and see if it resolves the issue and then maybe try your old hard disk in a caddy to retrieve any data.. but realistically, if the hard drive has failed.. I doubt you'll be able to get anything from it.

I wish you the best of luck!Computer won%26039;t boot up?
